YOUNG people will be taking on a series of “jungle” challenges this weekend to raise funds for their youth group.
Hope Central, in Castlegate, Malton, will be hosting a X:Talk Raise It Weekend to help fund the work of the club and future trips.
The event kicks off with a show on Friday entitled “I’m A Celebrity, You Will Want To Get Out of Here!” – a play in two acts.
On Saturday, between 10am-3.30pm, the youngsters will be taking part in a day of fundraising based on the theme “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here”.
Hope Central administrator Mel Benson said: “The young people will be doing their individual challenges which are all linked into the theme throughout the day on a rota system so the public will be able to see these happening – for example, sitting in a mud bath for two hours.”
The public can also take part in a series of five challenges.
