Yep. Dodgy decisions should be reviewed by the experts at Opta and ruled on. If they can't decide then it isn't a dodgy decision but where it's proven to be wrong that should go in a plus and minus column for each team. If you and I are wrong then fair enough but let's see the statistics to prove it!

Also once the stats are collected they need even deeper analysis. We will get a couple of lucky decisions each year but bet they're not away to Utd or Arsenal.

I think on another day Gaston's chip would have gone in - he's good at those. I think Adam would have got a couple so would Jay Rod and Rickie could have kept his shot down. We only needed one to go in. It was just one of those days.

I think Sharp should have been given a chance given the hoo-ha getting him here and the fact he did well for us.

That makes no sense, by saying that you could also say if we had been a bit more lucky we would have won that game by a few goals.

I've not seen any highlights but I agree 100% about the laziness of the tired and factually inaccurate 'it evens itself out' quote. It never has been true and never will be true, but an independent review panel would be interesting.

Alas, it's flawed because, if a ref knew the season's stats ahead of a game, s/he might be tempted to 'even things up' rather than make what s/he thought was the right decision.

Apparenly, Clyne was carrying a knock but still fit enough to make the bench.
I've only seen the MOTD highlights, but I thought we linked up well...just lacked the killer blow in the box.

Yeah. Makes sense. I've seen it on match choice. We were the better side and created more chances. Hopefully we can spring a couple of surprises in our next few games. Think we play better against the better sides.

Agree Yoshida wasted some crosses, but he more than made up for it by stopping 2 dead cert tap ins.
His distribution can be equally as good as it is bad, but his reading of the game makes him a better player than some give him credit for.

So everyone in football including the fans gave to accept that because refs are being 'played' they are going to get some decisions wrong. So we've just got to accept it.

If we want better refs - the coaches and players have to look at themselves first and make it easier for a ref to give a good decision. Not ranting and raging that the ref got it wrong. Unless of course we want to sanitise the sport further by eliminating any form of contact and revert to a zonal game with a maximum number of passes before possession has to be given up to the other team.

So everyone in football including the fans gave to accept that because refs are being 'played' they are going to get some decisions wrong. So we've just got to accept it.

If we want better refs - the coaches and players have to look at themselves first and make it easier for a ref to give a good decision. Not ranting and raging that the ref got it wrong. Unless of course we want to sanitise the sport further by eliminating any form of contact and revert to a zonal game with a maximum number of passes before possession has to be given up to the other team.

It's not just us, Norwich claim they've not had a penalty all season, while, yesterday, Reading were denied by a (not) offside shout and Swansea had a 'good' goal disallowed.

It's probably why I feel so little sympathy for Manure after Nani's mid-week sending off, it was a small slice of re-balance.

Now that is an interesting perspective and has cheered me up no end Stras.

I just imagined that (luckily) we were three up with four minutes to go. Then a big fat ugly Norwich fan chucked a bit of banana skin on the pitch and Artur (unluckily) slipped on it and dropped the ball into his own net. Then, during a harmless Norwich cross, Hooi (unluckily) felt a sharp, momentary and inexplicable twinge in his left testicle and mis-kicked straight into Holt's path for him to (luckily) score a sitter. Then Norwich equalised after a hard hit Holt shot going harmlessly wide, luckily pinged off Jose's shoulder onto Yosh's right buttock and then ricocheted on to Spiders knee and off Boruc's head on to the crossbar, where it bounced off on to Cork's back and (unluckily) into the net.

Then, in the dying seconds, a Holt shot, going fractionally wide, unluckily for us, was hit by a fragment of a meteorite (in a 78 trillion billion million to 1 chance) and diverted in to the net for a (lucky) Norwich winner.

Anyway, I thought after thinking all that, phew, I'm really glad didn't happen. It really doesn't take much imagination to be very happy with just a point.
