Former Saints boss Nigel Adkins is celebrates his birthday today. The only manager in the club’s history to oversee back-to-back promotions is 48.
Jim Steele, man of the match in Saints’ 1976 FA Cup final victory over Manchester United, is 63 today.
The centre half played exactly 200 games for the club between January 1972 and March 1977 after joining from Dundee United.
