Reading sack McDermott (From Daily Echo)

I am getting a bad feeling about this, QPR - manager Sacked, SAINTS - manager sacked , READING - manager sacked ,,,,,,I hope the script does not unfold as I fear....

QPR have won two on the run so could make it out, now Reading have moved for new manager NA would be a good one for them but my fear is that we are playing well but not getting the points only 9 games to go we need to win 3 or 4 of these if we are to stay u??

Feel sorry for McDermott, thought they would have stuck by him. John Madejski probably would have, but the Russians want a return on their investment and need to be in the Premiership to achieve this.
Like NA he could only work with the players he as available and the squad like SAINTS is lacking Premiership quality players. Maybe NA has already been approached which might explain the need for his contract with Saints to be sorted out.
How ironic would it be for NA to be appointed Reading manager ahead of our game against them in a couple of weeks - don't really want to be battling against Reading to avoid the drop with NA in charge as he has something to prove to NC.

it just goes to show the impatience of foreign owners god knows how many managers wigan would have gone through if they were owned by a football loving owner and not just a money loving one

Spurs manager AVB wasn't paid off and was still on the books. He wanted to get back into football as soon as possible and didn't care about the money, shame Nigel doesn't feel the same. I'm pretty sure Adkins got a couple of big bonuses when we were promoted so I don't think he's been hard done by, do you? I aint sayin she a gold digger but

That is a bit of a double edged sword, it could do us a favour and their is no guarantee that Nigel would win these days, time will tell, but you are once again posting it as if it is a fact, when you are only guessing like the rest of us.

wake up Osprey... Saints can not hide who is paying and when Nigel is being paid. His association also has public accounts....He won't work again until his case is settled....rightly so.... good luck to him.

I don't why this concerns you, it is not new news, and the Reading deal is a non starter at the moment, so trot along, it feels like minus ten out there in this wind.

He is not stupid enough to take a job before that one would assume ! In case anyone has not noticed, Nigel had a contract and he was not the one who broke it.

how many times have i said the football league have told nigel he cant take a job while he is being paid .the dispute is how much is he entitled to .it will just go to a tribunial .thats why nigel is getting advice from lma .the media pushed up a story like they always do .the question now is have reading left it top late to sack the manager .did we make the right decision .we still have got a point a game .after 10 games we had 4 points 20 we had 18 points so we picked up 14 points in that 10 game spell which as been vital with the game sat up to 30 so far 10 points .you have to feel pull off a win and were almost there .and liverpool wont come to stop us play like harry set out .its a game we can win if we defend well .im confident wiil stay up .now we keep adam back fit for the final games with 5 at home

It's interesting to see who will stay up - Wigan and Villa have stood by their men, the others haven't, but the fact is that the teams that go down will probably include some loyal, some not so loyal. So there is no wrong or right answer.

Reading sacking is harsh and pretty pointless because their major problem is a poor squad, but you never know.

Di Canio could work wonders or could just go in and upset everyone and create a circus, it's hard to know.

Not liking the fact that we'll be the first home game for their new boss though.

Sunderland and Norwich should not be left out of the relegation mix by the way, or even West Ham, although I do expect it is a five-way battle in all honesty.

QPR situation is interesting but don't forget that for the past few games they've been able to slip under the radar a bit - now teams should be taking them more seriously it may get tougher for them in the run in.

Have you seen the contract. How do you know SFC are in breach?

Surely it would be bigger news if this were so.
