James Ward-Prowse, below, and Calum Chambers have been called up to the England Under-19 squad for this month’s friendly match against Turkey.

The midfielders are part of an 18-man group for the game, which will take place at AFC Telford on Thursday, March 21.

The fixture will represent England’s final warm-up before heading to Belgium, in May, for the elite qualifying round of the European Championships.

Noel Blake’s team will face Scotland, Belgium and Georgia there for a place in this summer’s finals, in Lithuania.

This is fantastic for them, it will be good experience. I think Jake Sinclair should have been called up too though.

Congratulations to the youngsters.

Do the Daily Echo purposely use misleading headlines to get more hits to create extra revenue (mostly from the annoying "Premier League news" video that annoying video that loads automatically each time a sports page is opened. Or is there any way to prevent that video opening automatically?).
