A WOMAN was rescued by firefighters after being trapped under a van for 30 minutes.
She was knocked over by a van reversing outside Brandlesholme post office, in Brandlesholme Road, Bury, at 3.20pm today.
The 55-year-old woman, who lives nearby, was unable to move.
Crews from Bury fire station assessed the woman and moved her from under the vehicle.
She was taken to Fairfield Hospital for treatment, but her injuries were not thought to be serious.
She is expected to remain in hospital overnight as a precaution.
Nearby Sheringham Drive was closed while the woman was rescued.
Police are investigating what happened and spoke to the driver. No arrests have been made.
