FC Hollybush clinched the Witney & District FA Division 3 crown with a 2-1 home win over title rivals Carterton Rangers, writes Anthony Barlow.

Goals from Paul Dray and Dave Cooper’s lob made up Hollybush’s tally, with Carterton replying through an Andy Stone penalty.

Wootton won 2-1 at Minster Lovell Res, with goals from Jason Ludlow and John Holder. Sam Hatton replied.

West Witney, who were without a game, need just a point from Saturday’s home clash with Charlbury Town to win the Premier Division title.

Although Hanborough are only three points behind, they would need West Witney to lose and a swing of 11 goals to take the crown.

Spartan Rangers were relegated after a goalless draw at home to Ducklington.

Craig McCallum hit a hat-trick in Charlbury Town’s 4-1 win at already-relegated North Leigh A.

Gareth Benfield was also on target.

Hanborough Res were relegated from Division 1 after a 2-2 home draw against Kingham AB.

The hosts led at half-time through Arrun Hobley and Liam Busby.

A win would have seen them survive, but Michael Briggs and Sean Collins levelled.

West Witney Res won 3-1 at Milton in Division 2, with Keith Frendo, Matt Townsend and Tom Perry on target.

Jake Forster clawed one back from the spot, but it was too late.

Milton Res drew 2-2 at home to Hollybush Res in Division 4.

The visitors twice took the lead through Dan Bilton and Angello Aniello, but were pegged back by James Rawlings and Dan Hootton.
