A WORKman had to be airlifted to hospital from Helston last Thursday morning after falling from a ladder while working on a house.
He was found lying in front of the doorway of a house in Manor Way, on the Gwealdues Estate, by a delivery driver shortly before 11am. A ladder was found resting on the flat roof of the porch. A spokesman for Cornwall Air Ambulance said the man, in his 40s, sustained injuries to his arm and leg as a result of the fall, of around eight foot. He remained semi-conscious and was treated at the scene by ambulance staff before being taken to Plymouth’s Derriford Hospital by air ambulance, which had landed on a central green nearby.
