Mollie James starred when Southampton Diving Academy competed in Leeds at the G-Star Championships.
In the Girls 16+Years age group, James made the final on all three boards – 1m springboard, 3m springboard and Platform.
That was despite only just returning to full competition after injury.
James achieved many personal best scores throughout and won two silvers. On 3m springboard, she impressed the judges with her reverse 2½ somersaults to score 57.40 points, whilst on platform she dived consistently to again to win the silver.
Other divers winning medals in their events included Lewys Oakley, in the boys 14/15 years age group. He also made the finals on all three boards but was most impressive in the platform event where he improved on his fifth place in the preliminaries to win bronze.
Max Cott also joined Oakley in the platform final where he scored a fantastic score of 56.70 for his inward 2½ somersaults from the 7.5m platform and finished fifth. Maddie Angell, diving in the girls 14/15 years, earned a place in both the 1m and 3m springboard finals.
And with a remarkable inward 2½ somersaults on the 3m springboard, she moved from sixth in the preliminaries to fourth in the finals.
Diving in the Boys 16+ Years, William Rigelsford dived with confidence in the platform final scoring 56 points for his back 2½ somersaults from 7.5m platform to finish fifth.
