Clipper sailors clear Solent

CREWS taking part in the world’s longest race have passed the Solent en route to their first stop-off point.
Former Southampton City College principal Lindsey Noble is among those aboard the 70ft yachts taking part in the Clipper 13-14 Round the World Race, which started on Monday.
Her yacht Switzerland passed along the south coast of the UK last night along with the other vessels, en route to the Marina du Chateau in Brest, France.
From there the yachts will continue on their 40,000 mile, 11-month journey.
