Roundabouts, waterways and a building occupied by a launderette are among more than 80 assets owned by council taxpayers.
Maldon District Council’s most recent unaudited statement of accounts show it has land, building, community, heritage and infrastructure assets worth nearly £24million.
Its asset register - which lists all assets it either owns or has an interest in - was updated last month and includes open spaces, cemeteries and public toilets.
Unusual assets include the Blackwater Estuary, the nature reserve at Dengie and Tillingham Marshes and Hythe Quay.
