Southampton's Dani Osvaldo and Steven Davies likely to be available to face Stoke City
The pair were forced to sit out last weekend’s fine win over Fulham but could give Mauricio Pochettino an interesting selection dilemma ahead of his side’s visit to the Britannia Stadium.
“Both Osvaldo and Steven Davis are better from last weekend,” reported Pochettino.
“They have improved and we have two days to evaluate if they are match fit.”
Saints will certainly face a stern examination at Stoke but go there high in confidence.
“They have changed a bit from last season,” said Pochettino.
“Right now they are combining more the direct game and the long balls with the short balls and a more indirect game.
“They are overall a team in transition but it’s clear they are a very physical side that has a great physical potential and we’re fully aware we are going to be facing a very tough game.”
