Stoke's ex-Saints striker Peter Crouch: "It's nice to play against a former club, especially one I have very fond memories of. It's a great club, I really enjoyed my time there. They are back where they belong now. The stadium and training facilities are all geared up for a successful Premier League club and I am happy they are doing so well. Obviously I wish them well for the season, apart from today of course."
Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross in #potters mag, today's match programme: "We know that we will have to be at our absolute best, both in the attacking areas and in defensive areas of the pitch this afternoon, as we welcome arguably the biggest surprise package of the season so far, Southampton.
"It's no surprise from my point of view to see them sitting in the upper echelons of the league table however, having acquired the services of some very talented individuals during the summer transfer window to mix with the quality that was already at the club."
Another big day for #saintsfc in the Premier League. A point today will put them in the top 4, with Spurs not playing Everton till tomorrow— @SportsPink 02 November 2013
