Saints are confident that Rickie Lambert and Gaston Ramirez will be fit to face West Brom after the pair were forced off through injury against Burnley.
Lambert picked up a dead leg and was taken off during the first half against the Clarets, but not before he had bagged himself a goal.
Ramirez, right, was feeling a tight hamstring – in his second start in four days – and was brought off during the second period.
Jesus Perez insisted both substitutions were precautionary and that their early withdrawal should mean they are fit for action again against the Baggies.
He said: “He (Rickie) got a dead leg and in this moment we were 2-0 up and we didn’t want to take any risks, especially when we are at the end hopefully of a tough period of injuries.
“Rickie is very important, like a lot of players in this moment when we have Dani Osvaldo out for three games, and we decided to prevent a major risk.
“Gaston we knew after playing 90 minutes three days ago will probably get some fatigue after more than 60 minutes.
“It was too much for him and he started to feel a bit of fatigue in his hamstrings, and we decided to prevent a major injury.”
