DANI King and Jon Dibben are preparing for new challenges in the final round of the 2013/14 UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico.

With World Championship qualification in key events assured, Great Britain will field new combinations in the men’s and women’s team sprint while King will break out of the team pursuit mould and contest two solo events.

King will be the sole representative in the women’s endurance events, with her team pursuit teammates Laura Trott, Joanna Rowsell, Elinor Barker and Katie Archibald not travelling.

She will compete in the scratch race and the omnium, the latter new territory for the 23-year-old, with Trott the current Olympic omnium champion and World Cup leader.

“Clearly Laura is the best in the world at the event but I like to keep her on her toes!” she said.

“I really enjoy bunch racing, so it’ll be a great opportunity for me to go out there and see what I can do really.”

Dibben will lead a young team pursuit squad including debutants Oliver Wood, Jake Ragan and Chris Latham.

The 19-year-old is also set to ride the individual pursuit and the omnium, having finished fifth in the latter event in the opening round in Manchester.
