Hampshire Cricket will return to Barbados for a fourth consecutive pre-season tour.

Giles White’s squad leave on March 7 for a two-and-a-half week tour that includes a Twenty20 competition against Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.

Hampshire’s Director of Cricket said: “Barbados has been a huge part of our preparations for the last few seasons and it’s hugely popular amongst the players so it’s great for us to go back.

“Being able to enjoy conditions similar to that of the English summer as early as March gives us the best possible preparation for the season and will hopefully help us to hit the ground running.

“I would especially like to thank the club’s Official Travel Partners, the Barbados Tourism Authority, for helping us arrange this tour and for providing an excellent package for our fans.

“The supporters’ backing is absolutely crucial in the early part of the season and something we very much hope we can have in the Caribbean.”
