(ALMA TERRACE, NEVILLES CROSS, DURHAM) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2014
The Council, on 17.01.14, made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, its effect being to close to vehicular traffic by reason of urgent gas main repair works to be carried out adjacent to the said road. No person shall cause or permit any vehicular traffic to proceed on a 30m length of Alma Terrace that extends southwards from its junction with Relly Path, Nevilles Cross.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 18.01.14 for 7 days or until the works are completed whichever is sooner. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. There is no signed alternative route available to vehicular traffic.
