A BUSY bus route in Weymouth town centre has been closed due to a burst water main.
Lower St Alban Street has been closed at its junction with Commercial Road due to the incident as emergency repairs have been ordered.
There is access for light vehicles however.
Wessex Water said the main burst beneath St Nicholas Street.
First Hampshire and Dorset is diverting services 3, 6 and 8 which use Lower St Alban Street towards Town Bridge and North Quay.
A spokesman for Wessex Water said it was hoped to complete the repair by this evening.
Customers’ supply has not been affected, the company said.
