EXCEPTIONAL school children from Middlewich primary schools have been selected to take part in a gifted and talented activity day.

Six to eight key stage one pupils and key stage two pupils from each primary attended the activity days at Middlewich High School.

Children took part in problem solving, a sports related quiz, recreational time and numerous activities such as table tennis, badminton and gymnastics.

Samantha Denham, who teaches PE at Middlewich High, said: “The kids seemed to really enjoy it.

"One mother called up afterwards to say her daughter had a great time and enjoyed the sports prefects showing them how to do things. It’s always nice to hear positive feedback.

“This is the first gifted and talented full day we have done at the school, we’ve only ever done after school sessions so I think we will do it again.

"There are other subjects such as gifted and talented language days that took place so the schools will be rotating.”

Primary schools which took part included Byley, Cledford, Middlewich Primary, St Mary’s, Warmingham and Wimboldsley Community Primary School.
