Five clubs and a putter
GOLF: DESPITE the rainfall of recent months the Orsett Ladies were not deterred from playing their annual five clubs and a putter trophy competition.
The Winner, Christine Gordon, carded an excellent score of 33 points to take the trophy, with Jan Baker the runner up on 31 points.
On receiving the trophy from captain, Margaret Oliver, Christine said she thoroughly enjoyed the day, was delighted to win. She also thanked playing partner Bev McAnally.
Other scores were: Joyce McFarlane (30); Alison Battle (30); Shirley Wall (30); Linda Dinis (29); Glynis Oake (29); Margaret Oliver (28); Norah Binding (28); Irene Charlick (27); Andrea Eustace (27).
