THERE could be still be one club from the area heading to Wembley this year and they are asking for YOUR support.

While Saints crashed out of the FA Cup on Saturday, Sydenhams Premier Division title chasers Sholing are letting disappointed Saints fans know that they can keep their Wembley dreams alive in the FA Vase.

The Boatmen are just two rounds away from a trip to the home of football and take on Larkhall Athletic in a crucial fifth round on Saturday (3pm), weather depending.

And the club have taken to Twitter in attempt to add a few more people to what is expected to be a bumper gate – and recreated the famous World War One poster, pictured above, depicting boss Dave Diaper as their very own Lord Kitchener.

“A plea to all fans: if your team is playing away on Saturday come and Support your local team Sholing FC,” wrote manager Dave Diaper in a series of Tweets.

“Those Saints supporters who aren’t travelling to West Ham, come and support the closest non league club to St. Mary’s,” he added.

“March to the Arch with the Boatmen. We will need all the support we can get,” read another. Sho defender Danny Cox wrote on his page: “All you fuming Saints fans follow Sholing in the FA Vase for a chance of a trip to Wembley! Last 16 next week at the Silverlake!”
