Saints midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is a doubt for the trip to Tottenham this Sunday.

The Frenchman, who scored in last weekend’s 4-2 win over Norwich, is struggling with a muscular injury.

With Jack Cork and Victor Wanyama also injured, Saints might be short on options for the defensive midfield role.

James Ward-Prowse is likely to continue there, while Steven Davis could drop back to partner him, or teenager Harrison Reed brought in.

Guly do Prado is also a concern for the visit to White Hart Lane.

Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino said: “The only bad news today is that Morgan Schneiderlin and Guly have also been added to the doubtful list, aside from Kelvin Davis, Victor Wanyama and Jack Cork.

“We need to assess their fitness ahead of the game on Sunday, and then there’s also a few other players that perhaps are doubts.”

How long before someone says he is being suspended for opening his gob about a move! I heard a rumour a couple of days ago that he was likely to to be out for a fortnight, just hoped it wasn't true, how do we cover his absence? Harry Reed?

Chambers could do a job in midfield, and would probably link well with Clyne.

Doubt it... everyone seems a lot more relaxed about being vocal. What im waiting for is some bright spark to suggest we need strengthening in midfield

All three of our enforcers out at the same time... Just made the spurs game that little bit tougher.
Agree with Baz, about Chambers but I think he could slot in at DM in front of Fonte and Lovren.
I'm sure Poch will sort something out.

It is a concern that althree are probably out. They are all tall and win the ball in the air. JWP and SD don't have their presence from a defensive point of view. Hopefully one of the 3 will make it.

Need to get used to him not being there - he wants a move to a big club!!
Along with AL who hopes for champions league footy and luke who's already agreed a deal to Chelsea apparently.
So our teams being ripped apart - we could start next season without chambers, lovren, shaw, spiderman, lalana ect ect and we now have a chairman telling us he's not going to set any targets coz we will only end up disappointed.
Isn't anyone else really fed up that we are going back to days when LawrieMac would tell us that 4th from bottom is success?
And whats with the Guly hating still? Yea he gave the ball away last week for a goal but so did Fonte - and still theres so called fans booing the guy onto the field - shame on you.

Presumably you are just on a wind up?
