Hants want Youth Ambassador

Hampshire Cricket in the Community is inviting applicants to become its first official Youth Ambassadors.

The charitable arm of Hampshire Cricket has launched the scheme to ensure the voices of young people in the county are heard.

The chosen eight will meet every three months to discuss plans and ideas and they will also be expected to volunteer at some Hampshire matches.

Representing Hampshire Cricket in the Community at special events and launches will also be a key part of the job role.

Hampshire Cricket in the Community Education Officer, Emily Blackburn, said: “Listening to young people is key to ensuring that Hampshire Cricket in the Community provides them with the best support and activities as possible, and by launching the Youth Ambassador programme we will ensure that their voices are heard.”

“By having a panel of young people working closely with HCiTC it will make our projects more exciting and appropriate to what the youth of today want. We also hope that it will encourage young people to take an active role within their local community and promote young people in a positive way.”
