A DUET OF THEATRE:
TWO ‘heart-warming, witty and moving plays’ are to be performed at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton.
Duet for One and Separation by Tom Kempinski will both be directed by Elizabeth Newman and will be the first time they have been performed at the same venue with the same cast.
Duet for One was inspired by the life of cellist Jacqueline Du Pré, who contracted multiple sclerosis in 1972 and had to give up her remarkable career.
Separation sees a young American actress begin a love affair through transatlantic telephone calls when she calls an English agoraphobic playwright for permission to perform his play. The plays will be performed between April 10 and May 10 and tickets, priced £9 to £24, can be bought by calling 01204 520661 or visit octagonbolton.co.uk.
