Yes Burt it's absolutely bloody appalling.....

Anyway, Kat, when are you going to buy that new striker or two we need? And whilst you're out shopping don't forget the Centre Back and Goalie. £60 million should do it, plus wages. And don't you be selling Luke or Adam off either!

Get a sense of perspective Burt.

Like for like 4% seems OK, but for many of us longstanding Family Stand STHs who are being kicked out of there (because we no longer have any under 16s in our group, as they've grown up now) and moving to more expensive areas, the increase is 20-30%.
Even though we're all paying adult prices, and are still a family, spread over three generations, sitting with other families that our kids have grown up with. Bit of a shame - and expensive too!. Have asked Katharina and Ralph to review, and he says he's considering.

Anyone else in the same boat - or had to maove last year? Might be worth writing to Ralph whilst he's in listening mode......

In response to Saintjock's comments, the main reason why the family section should be just for adults with non-adult children is that it's annoying for smaller children to have an unbroken row of grown-ups sitting right in front of them as it makes it harder for them to see, especially as everyone stands when a goal is imminent!

When a child reaches adulthood then you would expect prices to rise otherwise no-one would ever pay the adult rate. An adult child has earning potential and can contribute towards the cost if need-be.

Good! I'm glad to see you've got your priorities in order. I mean, it’s the least we can do. Our financial offerings may be meager, but if my season ticket fee can pay for even one of Gazza’s wheel caps, it would not have been in vain, would it.

Saintjock, I understand what you say, but the whole point of the Family Stand is to nurture the next generation of Saints fans with parents taking along younger children to sit in an area where it is not as noisy, the language is more conducive for younger fans. Surely you must find it annoying as adults sat with younger children whose concentration span is shorter, who want Dad to take them to the toilet during the game, go to buy snacks before half time. I can't imagine it will be difficult for your 'saints family' to move as a group into a more adult orientated part of the ground i.e. Chapel, Itchen or Kingsland and leave room in the Family Stand for the young fans following along behind your 'saints family'. I don't think this issue is anything to do with cost by the Club.
My son and I started off together in the Itchen with an adult and child deal, but when my son got to 14 he wanted to move into the Northam with his mates - all part of growing up and having abit of independance. We both enjoy going to the games together and sitting with our different Saints family in different parts of the ground at home games and really really love our away trips together. I have to ask him to teach me some of the songs/chants so I keep down with the kids.
Like you my 'saints family' has been in the same part of the ground since the very first game at St Mary's and like you I wouldn't want to change the STH's I have sat with for years. It is not as though the Club are trying to break up your group just move you to a more suitable location based on the age of the fan base.

Might be worth writing to Ralph whilst he's in listening mode......[/p][/quote]Saintjock, I understand what you say, but the whole point of the Family Stand is to nurture the next generation of Saints fans with parents taking along younger children to sit in an area where it is not as noisy, the language is more conducive for younger fans. As for me , I 'm saving to ensure I'm back in the Northam with my Lads !
Yes you're right, 28 sovs is not going to buy a Bentley, well spotted. But collectively Buddy, we can help buy lots of Bentleys.

At the end of the day, it’s only money, right. That said I’ll be a bit peeved if Luke and Adam end up going walkies to Man United or Chelsea. IMO that was never part of The Vision, was it?

I set aside a certain amount for football each season and have done since i retired when we were in our second season in L1 I havn't always spent it all so I will put the same amount away this year The increase in fuel costs and any overnight stays has reduced the number of away games i can attend but after the Sunderland debacle i will not spend anything on cup games

The thing that worries me is why are we being asked to stump up 2 months earlier than last year? Is it so they have the sales before they announce a transfer freeze ?

Gazza. My season ticket's paying for one of his wheel caps.
Do you reckon he will still be with us then? Some don't.........
We'll one would hope. No one fishes the ball out of the net like Gazza. They say practice makes perfect. Although I can see the lad going out on loan, maybe Grimbsy or such like. And you know what that would mean, ten Mariner season ticket holders would have to stump up for his wheel cap. Phew! That's a load off my plate.
Would you look at that, I put an apostrophe in the word well. Sorry folks but my chubby fingers tend to wreak havoc on the keyboard. I'll go back to typing with a pencil, it's slower, but a more a accurate method in the long run.
Could try a stylus, but even that won't work if your brain is in neutral and this site keeps popping and banging with Pop Ups and Cookies as you type hence the missing letter syndrome.......

Only on Portsea island. You can also get my special skunt dictionary which is obviously pictures only as they can't read. It's very reasonably priced at £7.99 but there is a special offer for Poopey fans. They can buy two for £20. It's called The Clever Dictionary.

The price doesn't bother me it's the renew by the 30th May that does. Sounds a bit suss. Not saying it will happen but we could all renew then Poch and half the squad pack up and we're left caught by the long and dangly's. I pay to watch my beloved saints but I'd like the chance to know who will be in charge and playing before committing.

Me too and I do wonder if this may have something to do with the early sale of the tickets.
I think the only reason for the early announcement, is simply because we are guaranteed Premier League status, that is surely enough to sell the tickets?

Players will go out, players will come in, maybe a change of Manager, who knows, we will still be here.

Yes. I.ve also read that Adam is off there too and they like the look of Morgan and Dejan. Callum will be going to Arsenal for no other reason than Wenger wants him and JRod too. This is all the usual garbage press talk. They have latched on to a story that Luke has followed Gary Neville on Facebook or Twitter or some other media site and of course that means it's now favourite he will go to Manure. They probably know a little more than we do about these things but not a lot more. It's midweek and they need a story so as they usually do they make one up. MoPo ha been on record saying that Luke will not be playing for Manure next season. Either way it doesn't make any difference to the club. If he did move on the cash would fund other transfers, or pay off the "supposed " debt, or maybe a bit of both. As somebody said earlier the club is bigger than any individual and we are comfotbly already inb the Prem again next season.
