ON TUESDAY, April 28, the town’s Local Plan will have its full public hearing at the Steam Museum.

The inspector is expected to spend about four weeks examining the plan before announcing his decision later in the year.

The plan will highlight all future development in the town up until 2026. It dictates where developers can build and includes plans for the Eastern Villages.

If it does not get approval then developers may be in a position to build where they like. At the hearing all interested parties will be able to have their say.
