THREE years after clinching his first title, Fenton Primary School teacher, Keiron Davies reclaimed the coveted Welsh Cycling Association 25-mile time trial title in emphatic fashion on the fast Vale of Neath course.
The build up to the event had not only seen Davies’ times over the distance slowly reduce in preparation for his title attempt, but a string of overall wins accompanied this progression at the local events. This had firmly put Davies as the favourite for the event in the national cycling press and the man to beat.
Davies, the former Bynea CC rider, now riding for Pembroke Dock based Nick Brown Cycle Coaching, completed the course in a time of 48mins 42secs, one minute and six seconds faster than his second placed rival, David Crawley of Fibrax-Wrexham RC.
