WINCHESTER Castle have announced James Banks as their new first-team manager.
The former AFC Stoneham, Otterbourne and Stockbridge boss will be assisted by Stewart Beck – younger brother of new Alresford Town co-manager, Martin - and coach Terry Chapman.
The trio look forward to welcoming back last season’s squad that finished fourth in the Hampshire Premier Division and, with a few additions, are hopeful of delivering some silverware.
Club chairman Alan Roberts said: “James and Terry have been on our radar for some time. They epitomise the direction the club must take to succeed.
“The addition of Stewart Beck is an added bonus.”
Castle’s combination team is also under new management with Robbie Shearman stepping up to the helm.
The club begin pre-season training at their home ground of Chilcomb on Thursday, June 26 (6.30pm).
