A curvaceous radio presenter who has modelled for Gok Wan is flying the flag for London’s curvy women.
Dawn Lowe, 43, from Southfields, has been chosen as Ms London Curve 2014, as part of the Miss British Beauty Curve 2014.
It is the first beauty pageant Miss Lowe has entered and she will be taking part in the final competition on Saturday, July 27, at the Lost Theatre in Wandsworth Road.
Miss Lowe said: "I'm a size 18 and very proud of my curves, so delighted to be in the pageant.
"I'd never entered anything like this before and thought you had to be a size eight and stunning. I think curvaceous women are underrepresented and all women are beautiful regardless of shape or size.
"There is a beauty in everyone, whether it is inner beauty or on the outside."
