Lallana's England shirt tops the charts

Adam Lallana's England shirt is the top-selling kit in this country for the World Cup.

Figures released by retailer UKSoccershop.com showed that supporters have been snapping up more Lallana tops than any others in Roy Hodgson's squad.

The 26-year-old is narrowly ahead of captain Steven Gerrard, as well as traditional big names such as Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard.

UKSoccershop managing director Simon Pretswell said: "The sales figures are a real show of support by the England fans for Lallana, with many backing him to feature in Roy Hodgson's lineup against Italy on Saturday.

"In previous tournaments, it has been the likes of Rooney, Gerrard and David Beckham who have occupied the top seller slot, so it is an impressive accomplishment for Lallana to be leading our figures.

"While it would be fair to say that Southampton fans are backing their captain, we are also receiving a number of international orders from customers around the world."

I read somewhere that Luke Shaw gave his England shirt to a Saints fan after the game against Ecuador last week.

A touch of class if true.

Do Saints get a % of England shirt sales with our 'current' players names on the back. If so do we then have to 25% to Bournemouth?

Not a big surprise. He will be playing for four different clubs next season after all, if you believe the press. That's a lot of fans.

I hope all his clubs don't kick off at the same time!

Not ONE England related item available in "The Saints Megastore".

Nor any striped retro shirts.

Should not be such a dull and dismal place at this time, surely this should be dictating front of house sales and marketing for our Saints.
They've either lost the plot, have given up, or more likely, are showing a complacent or arrogant disregard for this "sector" of business.
