RUMOUR MILL, Wednesday, June 11 - Palace keen on Jack Cork?

Jack Cork

Jack Cork

First published in Sport

Midfielder Jack Cork is the latest Saint linked with a move away from St Mary's this summer.

According to reports in a national newspaper today, Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis is keen on Cork, who was attracting attention from Swansea City earlier this year.

Pulis is apparently also weighing up a move for Peter Crouch, the former Saints striker he signed for Stoke City almost three years ago.

Don't make me laugh. Jack Cork is good enough for a move up the table, not down it. Not that I want him to leave – he's one of our most dependable performers.

Well they can't have him, because he's ours we love him and we're going to cuddle and kiss him and call him George.

Hope the incoming manager appreciates just how good Cork, Davis Spiderman, Wannayamoney, JWP and Ramirez are as a unit. It's upfront and at the back we need bolstering. (Left out Lallana just in case).

This is brilliant, every one of our first team squad is wanted by other Premiership clubs. What an achievement over just 5 years ! Well done all !!

Now Ralph & Les do not break this young squad up, tell the players that they are going nowhere, they are to stay as a unit with 4 top quality additions to realize their ambitions here at Saints.
Appoint a high profile, proven & successful new manager to show the ambition and make an impact to take Saints to the next level with the current squad.
Benitez, Ranieri, Klinsman, Koeman in that order ? Don't go for a cheap unknown option, lets grab the opportunity and kick on !!

Wouldnt it nice to talk about us showing interest in other teams players instead of others after our players. Why is it always Saints players, do they think we are an easy touch being manager less. Getting pretty fed up with this and I sense it's going to get worse. Saints board please get a manager in ASAP

Agree but these DE "journos" have minimal contact with SFC, partly I suspect due to the endless stream of negative articles they continue to spew out about the club.

A little initiative on their part regarding potential new players or analysing some of the records of the potential replacemnts for POCH would be what other papers would do. But instead all we get for visiting or buying the DE is lazy cut and paste rubbish from the national rags.

I can see them being excluded again from SO14 and I would agree 100% afer all this summers garbage reporting.

A top rate Tea Lady is hard to find these days, what with so many types of Tea.
Some go on Decaffination courses to help their CV. There are some, who were interviewed during our time achieving Premier League status, who didn't know how to use a tea strainer and had never experienced Green Tea and thought PG tips was something to do with backing horses.
As there are no rumours about Car Park Supervisors at St. Marys, I'll leave it there. Excuse me Sir, you can't leave it there, that space is reserved for homecoming International players.......... I hope!

After the Cortese bans and the welcoming back into the club tent by RK, the DE has decided it's the pi55ing it likes doing best of all, and isn't fussed whether it's inside or outside the tent. It's the trolls that gets the clicks and the reactions. "No news about Saints today" doesn't really cut it if you're trying to sell the papers that will be tomorrow's chip wrapping. We fall for it every time.

One year left on his contract, same as Fonte. Les Reed should spend more time tieing down these two important contracts rather than blowing hot air at a TV camera.

( this is especially the case with Shaw and Lallana likely to go and if they don't go likely to create a poisonous atmosphere). Either way we need these two solid characters to steady the ship.

Cork and Fonte are no brainers and the Board has been seriously negligent in this regard. I would imagine that they are both pretty unhappy with their treatment by the club.

OK, let's imagine!
I imagine that when we sign Messi tomorrow, you will complain because we should have got Ronaldo, or both.
I imagine that when in 2 years time we win the CL, you would say that we were lucky because the 3-0 win against Barcelona in the final could easily have been a 4-3 defeat with the donkeys we have in defence.
I imagine that when the new shirt is revealed, you will complain because it should have been red with white stripes, not the other way round.
Imagine..... Easy, isn't it?
