SAINTS star Adam Lallana could see his move to Liverpool fall through, with the Anfield club reluctant to meet Saints’ £30m valuation.

Liverpool, who have already taken Rickie Lambert from St Mary’s this summer and been rumoured to be interested in wantaway centre-back Dejan Lovren, have had two bids for Lallana rebuffed by Saints.

They are said to be lining up a third and final bid for the 26-year-old this week, with Liverpool boss Brendon Rodgers prepared to offer £20m plus Italian striker Fabio Borini.

25 MILL AND Borini - final offer. Didn't they try to steam roller us with a final offer before the WC?

But first I want to hear Lallana's explanation of why he's kept us dangling on a hook for so long when all he had to say was sorry I'm under contract - go away.

If Iwas RK I,d wait until Lallana comes back from Brazil and never mind sitting down and begging him to stay, tell him he,s going nowhere, and if that doesn,t work strip him of the captain,s armband and let him warm the bench for a few games. The club should not be held to ransom because some team with CLfootball and nothing much else.thinks it can mug other teams for their best players.

I think Liverpoo signed Lambert because they knew Suarez as off (perhaps!!).

Also, if they want to sign Lallana, pay what we are asking IN FULL NOW or shut up!

If we want Borini, surely we'll make a bid for him ourselves!

And finally, to Lallana, if you REALLY want to leave an upwardly mobile club, he can do the decent thin and hand in a transfer request!!

Adam has not come out and said he wants to go. If he really wanted to go then he would ask for a transfer wouldn't he! I think everyone should get off his back until he turns around and says he wants to leave, he is an Evertonion in any case!
.
I think there is more of a worry of him going to Spurs and Mopo!
.
As for Saints we clearly have said £30m so Liverpool know what it takes it is there choice if they want to pay it or not! Either pay up or shut up!
.
I am sure when Adam returns from Brazil we will have a better idea of where he wants to go in terms of direction next season! My money is on Spurs but after a transfer request!

Why do the Echo just keep repeating the garbage that Diverpool are leaking to the press.

We all know by now their 1st offer was ONLY £15m + JOKE ADD ONS (and that £15m was going to pay in instalments over 5 years). i.e. £3m a year and that was leaked as a £26m offer where in fact we would probably only got 16-17 best.

This later offer is probably just a rehash of that offer but his time they have added in a player that they paid £11m for but no one wants (bar sunderland) and they make out to the press that it a good offer.
PAY UP or SHUT UP Rodgers, most people can see through your joke offers.

So why do the Echo just keep repeating the propaganda being put out by diverpool ? shame on you.

If lallana is looking to go then I say kick him out I don't want to pay him any money to sit on any bench and take cash away from a player that wants to give his all to the saints, we made him lie wise with Luke, and you could say we made king Ricky also that's what have yo remember.
But if they do not want yo play but go and sit on a bench somewhere then go and do just that.

My only question in all this is all this started after they become England players, so has Roy said to get away from Southampton and play for what he's see as a big team or you will miss out on an England carear? This is my question

It is laughable, this take or leave it stance that is being suggested is coming from Liverpool. Why do they feel that the club has to sell its assets to them? We're no longer a selling club...

1. Saints no longer have the financial issues of previous years, they don't have to sell players to keep afloat.

2. Why would someone of RKs record come to a club like ours, if we're a selling club? There are plenty of other places he could have gone where there would have been good opportunity to further his career.

3. The new tv deal means that we have far more money coming in than we have had in previous years.

The only issue we have is if players feel that they need to move on to grow their careers. In many cases moving on has not necessarily bettered the players career. James Beattie a case in point.

However, if players do want to go, then the club don't need to be held to ransom. In fact, we should hold the prospective buyers to ransom. For arguments sake, is Lallana worth £30 million? Would you sanction purchasing him if he was on the open market for even £20 million? He is a very good player at Saints, but does that mean he would transfer across as well? Maybe he would/maybe not.

Irrespective, he is not worth £30 million in my opinion, but if someone wants to pay that, I would take it even with 25% going to Bournemouth. However, giving us a take it or leave it ultimatum does not suggest an understanding of how strong the club is at the current time.

lfc(pfc) forever, or whatever its name is, has been on here day after day telling us how they are going to come and take Lalla and that suarez wont be going anywhere, I think it even guaranteed it and stated that suarez said he wants to stay. strange how it does a disappearing act as soon as the news, that we all knew, that he wanted out comes out.
its even stranger that both PFCforever and leigh park lane have both disappeared together! just saying.
come on pfcforever tell us that we have been right all along.

oh and £20mill plus a carp player? not a chance! whats the betting that the £20mill is actually £12mill with lots of stupid add ons that theres more chance of martians landing during the world cup final that England have been reinstalled in than us getting paid!

Gerrard's playing days are fast diminishing, so he see's his new role as chief recruiting sergeant. Once Adam gets back from Brazil hopefully he'll see sense and stay put.

Tell Liverpool we are not selling & tell Adam he is going nowhere. Even £30m is not in Saints interest as it would be spread over a number of seasons also £7.5m goes to Bournemouth. We have then got to find an immediate replacement who is at least of equal quality.

Luke & Dejan would be less of a problem to replace but again it is not in the Saints best interest to allow the side to break up, so tell them they are going nowhere unless the Koeman Bros decide otherwise in order to improve the team.

I always assumed being brought up with and within the southampton club after what has gone on in recent should have been enough to produce a great deal more loyalty. our new owner, marcus, showed commitment and a passion towards our club and I would like to think that the same would and will be shown by our up and coming players. our club is still moving onwards and upwards so to all the players who will at some time think about progressing on with their carriers think about doing it with the saints!!!!!!! , it ain,t that bad an option

Is there a new dictionary version of 'gay'? -

I've just looked it up in me Oxford and it reads as follows:
GAY - full of the joys of spring, so happy you could burst, for example: close season 'super kiddish' (see Block 42).

The best play on words are the reverse spellings that make more sense:
ie Fratton Park. or the 'spoonerisms' that get you in trouble, like when I told the missus I was stopping out a bit later on Friday night at the 'Boars Head'

As a supporter of another club that happens to live in Southampton I often read the comments and have a giggle at just how bias some of the comments are. On one hand slagging another club of for doing something but then encouraging your own club to do it to another side. Same can be said for players also, the stick AL is getting on here is terrible, the guy could have left you years ago when he was linked but he stayed through loyalty. He repaid that loyalty by helping you gain promotion back to the EPL and securing your future here. If he does indeed want to go I think he has earnt the right to consider a new challenge at this stage of his career.

Oh and for the poster who suggested Saints made Lovren famous, this is the type of post that makes me cringe, just how little did you know about the guy before he signed for your club? Google it if you aren't sure!

FWIW I don't think AL will leave, I can see LS leaving and possibly one of DL or JR but all depends on the money.

To be considered a rival Saints have to spend, not just try and cling onto there best players, the best thing you could do is go and sign a few players first and show those who are already there you mean business because right now almost every player who is being linked with a move away is sat there thinking it is best if they did go because the club are not going to back the new manager.

Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are set for a transfer battle for Liverpool FC striker Luis Suarez according to various press outlets.
The Uruguay forward, who scored the two goals that knocked England out of the World Cup this week, is said to "love" Barcelona by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo and they believe the Catalan giants are set to pounce.
Barcelona hope to strike a £70m deal for the forward and would even consider allowing Alexis Sanchez move in the other direction as a sweetener.
Real Madrid are also interested and, according to The Metro , are willing to offer Alvaro Morata as their own sweetener.
The Spain Under-21 forward is for sale at the Bernabeu and Madrid want to move quick as they are concerned about Barcelona's interest in Suarez.

lfc(pfc) always, would the press reports about suarez going, which you claim are rubbish, be the same type of press reports that you constantly copy and paste on here about lalla leaving for your lot? ha ha double standards my old mucker!
perhaps this one,
The saga continues between Liverpool Football Club and Adam Lallana, as the Reds still strive to get their man, reports Metro. Southampton are rumoured to be holding out for an asking price of £30 million for Adam Lallana, but Anfield are hoping to part with less money if they throw Fabio Borini into the deal as well.

`part with less money` is that because your `extremely wealthy` club cant afford the asking fee? they have done everything they can think of to try to make it look like they are offering a lot of money, but every time they are made to look cheap! oh dear you cant even give Borini away now.
now go away and work on some more double standards, they are quite amusing!

If we want a player then we will make an offer for him not take a cast off, we have been caught out like this in the past.
If Liverpool want him then give us the full amount up front, if not jog on.
Without Suarez they are just an ordinary team who will probably get knocked out in the first round of the Champions league.

If we want a player then we will make an offer for him not take a cast off, we have been caught out like this in the past. If Liverpool want him then give us the full amount up front, if not jog on. Without Suarez they are just an ordinary team who will probably get knocked out in the first round of the Champions league. boilerman

Well, as (a) he hasn't handed in a transfer request, (b) stated he wants to leave,(c) Liverpool may or may not have made an offer(no confirmation) but even if they have, it hasn't been considered/accepted, surely the deal can't be ' in the balance' , can it? There is no deal, so easier for the DE to say so?
Also, as someone else mentioned, rather than copy+paste stories from the sh*tstirrers at the DM, or the Scouse press, surely as the local paper, they could just talk to the club/players and find out?

Oh by the way Liverpool released a message that the Suarez gossip is nonsense and have not received any bids!

As for lallana all I say is wait until he is back from World Cup.
Suarez was am almost perfect fit for Liverpool given that he has the deep and fundamental flaws in his character that are typical of the Scouser breed. He's dishonest, hidebound, and prone to criminal acts. On the other hand however he is less afflicted by emotional imbecility and sentimentality that is also characteristic of Scousers. Which means he will leave Liverpool at a drop of the hat and you can expect him to celebrate wildly like the retard he is when he knocks Liverpool off their perch.

Oh by the way Liverpool released a message that the Suarez gossip is nonsense and have not received any bids!

As for lallana all I say is wait until he is back from World Cup.

Thank you your doing a great job!

Sadly he hasn't come out and said he wants to stay either, which is all it would take to stop the hype. But let's be honest, it's not about CL football. It's about money. If any of our players wanted CL football they stand a fairly good chance with us, as long as we kept the present squad with a few additions , maybe not this year but in their shelf life.

I hate Scousers - since you obviously hadn't noticed. I posted because I assumed you were a Scouser. But I might have got it wrong; perhaps you are one of those part time long distance supporters that so many of the so called big clubs have - or just a Skunt.
Why hate scousers? Is it we know how to have a laugh?
Like all the scousers I have ever known ( and that's a lot ) you think you are amusing. When in actual fact, like most people from that area you are just LOUD and BOORISH. Still I'm sure you're amusing yourself.

if adam wanted to go there he probably would of put in a transfer request .to move he has to anyway .the media can say what they like .but looks like adams staying a saint here probably sign a extension later he loves southampton and southampton loves him
Southampton loves him......mmmmm really 2-3 weeks ago you lot were slagging him off at ever possible moment!
Wow you really must love him.
LFCalways think you need to get a life mate and stop spending so much time on the Saints site trying to wind people up. It's getting boring and if the people running this site had a brain between them you would be banned by now. I don't think Liverpool actually have enough cash to afford AL as they are trying to sign players on the cheap with "add ons" that they know they will never pay. It's tantamount to theft really and I hope ALL clubs not just Saints see through it and ask to see the FULL 100% 30M in one lump sum before they even negotiate.

Personally I dont hate scousers just Liverpool Fans that keep bangining on about how big they are.

If they genuinely believe that last season was anything more than a blip. How long before they collapse under the weight of their own expectations. I can remember when Newcastle finished second - they never recovered.

Couldn't agree more mate. This could've been settled so easily weeks ago if he'd just considered others and the fact that he had signed a long contract last year. There are some on here who just don't seem to get that.

Suarez Denies Liverpool Release Clause

Luis Suarez has insisted there is no release clause in his latest Liverpool contract that says Barcelona and Real Madrid can force his transfer in the summer.

Speculation over Suarez’ future has taken off once again after Liverpool missed out on the Premier League title with Real Madrid favourites to make a move.

A priority club release clause has been reported in the media but Suarez has been quick to deny such rumours and play down talks of an Anfield exit in the summer, the Daily Star reports.

“No, no, not as far as I am aware. There is no clause that suggests a priority for a specific team," said Suarez.

"I know what I want. My agent tells me what's there and what's not. It's more speculation than reality.”

Suarez has dominated the Premier League this season, picking up all player of the season awards and topping the scoring charts with 31 goals, the joint most in a 38-game Premier League season.

Now he prepares for a different challenge at the World Cup in Brazil next month having seen Uruguay draw England in the group stages.

He could face five of his Liverpool teammates in the tournament after Roy Hodgson named Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson, Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson in his 23-man England squad.

And video to prove it lol

IMO Southampton would never employ Piranha's or Mules, I've seen the clip today of Louise Piranha deliberate intention of biting the Italian defender on the shoulder and he appears to pick his spot to aim higher up arm to the shoulder than the wrist of the unfortunate Man City defender, after committing his murdering dangerous fish action Louise Piranha then cheats to make it look as if he's been head butted, goodness knows where the Assistant's eyes were when this disgusting dangerous criminal act was committed he should of had a red card, this is a typical case of the need for 4th Officials and to the extreme TV Cameras, Louise Piranha is a world class Footballer who will be remembered for 2 things Goals and mimicking Piranhas, I am very relieved I am not a Liverpool Fan because if I got talking to an opposing Fan the first subject I would get asked is why a Player prefers to be known as a Piranha rather than a world class Player scoring Goals, biting once is enough but twice in another games it's ridiculous not normal and not the slightest bit humorous, if any one of my Team in Southampton committed thuggish acts they would not play in the first team again and perhaps Brendan Rodgers wants to sell his irresponsible disgusting cheating Player because he's embarrassed him twice and is ashamed, the problem could be the Piranha has shot himself in the foot because his valuation will of dropped unless top Managers do not care even though he could cost his Manager and Team points and Trophies for being banned several games when every game is important.

Yes.......lol wrong **** normal! MAY 15 2014 Suarez Denies Liverpool Release Clause Luis Suarez has insisted there is no release clause in his latest Liverpool contract that says Barcelona and Real Madrid can force his transfer in the summer. It's more speculation than reality.” Suarez has dominated the Premier League this season, picking up all player of the season awards and topping the scoring charts with 31 goals, the joint most in a 38-game Premier League season.
