Hampshire’s Annie Lado will make her England debut in August after being called up for the under-13 Refrath Cup in Germany.
In addition, the Year 7 Westgate School pupil, below, has been selected to attend her first residential England training camp at Lilleshall National Sports Centre next month.
Her coach, Westgate Badminton Centre’s Kat Gittins, said: “Annie has shown great dedication from such a young age and now her hard work and great attitude is starting to pay off.
“She is one of a large pool of very talented youngsters that train as part of Team Westgate and we are extremely proud to have her representing us, as well as her country.”
