HAVANT & Waterlooville boss Lee Bradbury has handed ex-Saint Pele a coaching role at Westleigh Park.
The 36-year-old Portuguese defender – real name Pedro Miguel Cardoso Monteiro – will add his considerable experience to Bradbury’s backroom team as well as providing first-team cover in central defence.
Pele signed for Southampton in July 2006 for an undisclosed fee from Belenenses. He made 41 starts and three substitute appearances for the St Mary’s outfit before departing for West Bromwich Albion in a £1 million deal in 2007.
After stops at Falkirk, Milton Keynes, Hednesford and Hayes & Yeading, the Cape Verde international joined Conference South outfit Havant in January 2012.
