THE pre-season friendlies have already begun and training is under way.

While it may still be four weeks until the Premier League kicks off, football fever is already gripping Southampton.

And as the World Cup nears its end, footie fans can still get their fix at the city’s WestQuay Shopping Centre.

Southampton Football Club has a pop-up stand in the shopping centre until Sunday.

As reported, they are having daily prize giveaways, including tickets, hospitality experiences, replica shirts and signed merchandise.

On top of that they have lots of activities to keep fans busy as they wait for the opening day of the season, when Saints visit former players Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert at Liverpool on August 16.

The St Mary’s club has also announced that there will be “other surprises” towards the end of the week.

And there will be more exciting news next week as the Daily Echo launches an exclusive competition where fans can get their hands on two season tickets – more details of that will be released soon.

The WestQuay stand is the perfect pre-Premier League warm-up to the campaign for fans to get their football fix while excitement builds, with new boss Ronald Koeman set to splash about £50m on players.

There’s plenty going on, with Xbox consoles set-up with video game FIFA 2014 and highlights from the past five years on a big screen.

Fans can also catch a glimpse of the brand new red and white home strip that goes on sale on July 19.

Today four lucky winners will get tickets for the friendly match against German giants Bayer Leverkusen on August 9 at St Mary’s.

That match will be the first time new boss Koeman takes charge of the team in front of a home crowd.

It will also be the first opportunity to see the team back in stripes at St Mary’s.

If that isn’t enough, tomorrow the prize will be £300 worth of hospitality tickets for the West Bromwich Albion match on August 23.

Two fans will watch the game in luxury in the President’s Suite while being waited on by the club’s hosting staff.
