AFC TOTTON are set to lose home-grown attacking talent Luke Roberts to Poole Town.
Roberts, voted supporters’ player-of-the-season at the Testwood Stadium last term, has impressed for the Dolphins in pre-season friendlies against Hamworthy United and Gosport Borough.
After breaking into the Totton first-team two seasons ago, Roberts was a shining star last term for a young Stags side who fought hard but ultimately lost their fight for Southern Premier Division survival.
Poole boss Tom Killick, whose side are hoping to improve on seventh last term, said: “Luke has a lot of ability and pace.
“Physically he needs to develop a little bit, but he is a player with great potential and I am optimistic he will do well for us.
“On his day he causes opposing teams plenty of problems and, with him starting at Bournemouth University in September, it is an ideal move for everyone.”
