EASTLEIGH’S friendly against Saints development squad has been postponed to a later date.
Martin Hunter’s young guns had been due to face the Spitfires at the Silverlake Stadium on Monday, August 4, but Saints have had to pull out because some of their development squad have been promoted to the first team.
Conference Premier new boys Eastleigh, who kick off their league season at Nuneaton Town on Saturday, August 9, said: “We are disappointed that we could not play the fixture on August 4 during our pre-season campaign but are confident that we may be able to play it later in the season.
“The club is looking for a replacement fixture for this date.”
