Langley Manor have thrown themselves a proverbial lifeline in the Southern Electric Premier League, Division 2 relegation struggle.
A dramatic last ball win over fellow strugglers Havant II has given them a chance of escaping the drop.
But, effectively 11 points behind Havant, the Manor will still probably need to win two of their last three games to steer clear of relegation.
They chased down Havant's 212 to win by two wickets off the last ball at Knellers Lane.
James Robson (60) was largely responsible for Havant making it to 121-6, but it needed a seven-wicket partnership between Gareth Ransley (51) and Pete Hayward (42) to take the visitors past the 200-mark.
Jack Budd's competitive best 99, which included a six and ten fours, underpinned Langley's run chase, which prospered at 131-2, but stuttered at 187-6 when Stevie Harris (27) became one of left-arm spinner Phil Loat's three victims.
Langley eventually only needed two run s off the last three overs - but almost bungled it.
It ultimately came down to the last ball which, to Langley's relief, Ben Morgan inside-edged for four.
