SAINTS are not planning a £4m deal for a Championship winger, the Daily Echo can reveal.
Reports in the national media this morning suggest Ronald Koeman is interested in Brighton winger Solly March.
It has been reported that the Saints boss manager is planning on signing the 20-year old who has risen up through the Albion’s youth squad.
However, the Daily Echo understands this is not the case and Saints will not be submitting a bid to the Sussex club for the youngster.
March made his debut with the AMEX stadium team last season when he came on towards the end of games against Derby County and Burnley.
He scored his first goal for the Albion when they beat Port Vale in a 3-1 win in an FA Cup fourth round match.
He was named for the England under-21 squad for this summer’s Toulon tournament but has missed the first two games of the season with a back injury.
The interest in March comes after the club completed the joint £18.5 million signings for Hull's Shame Long and Florin gardos from Steaua Bucharest.
