Whilst abroad I was asked if I wanted to go and watch Toto and what I thought was Malcolm Macdonald play.

I know senior players like Frank Lampard, pictured, are making their way to America to finish their careers, but I was amazed to hear Malcolm Macdonald was still playing.

When I turned up at the venue it was a theatre, and whilst I was wondering whether I would spot an up and coming young player to recommend to Mr Koeman it turned out Toto was a group that had been on the go for more than 30 years, and it was Michael McDonald rather than Malcolm Macdonald.

All of them put in 90 minutes non-stop without a half time break and if every group of footballers was to give the same amount of energy, passion and dedication, the supporters would be doing what the crowd did at the concert and giving a standing ovation.
