CHRIS Dillon, a member of Eastleigh’s Conference South title-winning squad last season, has followed his old boss Graham Kemp to Dorchester Town.

The central defender trained with the Magpies this week and has penned non-contract terms for the Southern Premier outfit.

Dillon and Kemp go back a long way, having worked together at Sydenhams Premier outfit Christchurch before Dillon took up a scholarship in the USA and then went on to play in Australia.

They were recently reunited at Hamworthy United after Eastleigh’s decision to release the defender during the summer but, having signed forms for the Hammers, Dillon didn’t make an appearance for them.

“Chris has got to be my best ever first signing as a manager,” said Kemp.

“He is an out and out centre-half, but he can play as well. He’s a nice lad who is coming in with the right attitude. You’ve only got to read what the Eastleigh manager (Richard Hill) said about him to know what you’re getting.”
