Ronald Koeman is optimistic that Toby Alderweireld will be fit to play against QPR on Saturday.
The defender missed last weekend’s win at Swansea and the League Cup victory at Arsenal with a hamstring injury.
But he trained today and will be assessed again tomorrow, with Koeman hopeful he will be available.
Maya Yoshida remains more of a doubt, after the ankle knock he sustained against Swansea, but he could make the squad.
“Maya didn’t train with the group this morning,” said Koeman. “Maybe tomorrow and then I have to make the decision if he can be part of the group for Saturday.
“Toby did a session, it’s looking positive, but if there is no reaction about the session of today tomorrow then he can be part of the squad for Saturday.”
