REGULAR syndicate member Shaun Brewer has enjoyed a fantastic session at Broadlands Lakes.

Fishing with Clinton Cooper and Alan Pugh, Brewer fished peg 42 – and what a result he had.

Using shoreline baits, Brewer landed 13 fish, including a 31lb common named Bert. Among his haul were seven 20s, including a 28lb mirror and a 25lb common, and three fish to 19lb.

Pugh weighed in with a 19lb mirror, while Cooper had four fish from peg 49 – his biggest being a specimen of 20lb 9oz.

Kevin Hughes also cashed in during a day session on peg 55, landing two fish out to 18lb fishing to marginal snags.

Peter Summer’s 48-hours session in the beech swim yielded a 24lb mirror using pallatrax multiworm boilies while fishing tight to the island.

Jake Lanham’s session on peg 93 brought a nice 21lb mirror using cell pop ups over a bed of cell boilies, while day member Matt Smith, fishing in the inlet bay, used nash tandoori spice and had a nice lovely 19lb 4 oz specimen.

Matt Eldridge and pal Sam Crouch attacked the boat bay during a 24-hour session and had six fish between them – the biggest was a 24lb mirror; they both used shoreline bait.

Elliot Brown landed six fish up to 24lb from peg 64 using mainline cell.

The previous week, Justin Primmer fished peg 48 in carp alley and had a 15lb common using mainline cell and blow back rigs casting tight to the island.

Paul Rydzynski landed a lovely 20lb mirror on the bank using his CC Moore Equinox and casting tight to the island on the gravel shelf.

Steve Jeziorek and his son Mike did four nights and had 11 carp between them using a new bait, the LS 1.

James Divine reeled in a lovely 25lb mirror using the ever faithful cell, while syndicate member Peter Drozd used our on-site Bait ‘Pallatrax’ and had another 20lb common.

The lower lake has also been in great form with every angler catching, even the Lakes’ part-time voluntary helper Mike Harvey. He is new to the sport but landed 14 carp in a day.
