Saints full-back Nathaniel Clyne is among the top contenders for the Professional Footballers’ Association Fans’ Player of the Month Award for November.

It’s been an outstanding month for the 23-year-old.

After a series of outstanding performances for Saints, he made his England debut against Slovenia and then won a second cap against Scotland.

Clyne then topped that off with a third goal of the season in the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa on Monday night.

As a result Clyne has gone into a shortlist of six players for the 90MIN Fans Award, which was won by Alexis Sanchez in October.

The Saints star is the only defender on the shortlist, with a host of attacking talent making up those selected.

Manchester City’s top-scorer Sergio Aguero, Arsenal’s Sanchez, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko make up the array of attacking talent on the shortlist.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea and Clyne are among the other contenders.

Supporters can vote for their favourite at fanawards.90min.com.

Voting closes at midnight on Sunday and the winner will be announced the next day.
