SAILING siblings Rob and Libby Greenhalgh are putting their team rivalries aside to spend Christmas together at their Hampshire home.
Rob, 36, and his younger sister Libby, 34, are both competing on separate teams in the 40,000-mile Volvo Ocean Race.
Two legs of the nine gruelling legs are now complete with the finish of the second stage in Abu Dhabi last week.
Despite the third leg to Sanya, China, starting on January 3 the pair will jet back to Hamble to spend Christmas with their family.
Libby, the navigator for all-female crew Team SCA, said: “I am very much looking forward to going home for Christmas.
“I’m looking forward to it being cold, to sitting in front of my fire and getting into the Christmas festivity of home. My whole family lives pretty much in the same village and I love how we all come together at Christmas – it’s brilliant.”
