ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger claimed Saints were indebted to keeper Fraser Forster for helping them stun the Gunners at St Mary’s this afternoon.
The Frenchman, who had only previously lost one league game to Saints since taking over at the club in 1996, said after the 2-0 loss: “It was a game where we were in control until the first goal.
“We made two big mistakes, that was the difference, but their goalkeeper kept them in the game.
“Southampton defended well, but we had chances ... Southampton are a good side but they were beatable today.”
