EX-Saints defender Garry Monk is confident his Swansea side can put their recent woes behind them when they run out at St Mary’s next Sunday.
The Welsh club lost their most recent Premier League game 5-0 at home to Chelsea, stretching their winless streak to four matches.
They followed that up by losing 3-1 at Championship club Blackburn in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
To add to their misery at Ewood Park, Swansea had both Kyle Bartley and second top scorer Gylfi Sigurdsson sent off – meaning they will both miss the visit to St Mary’s.
Swansea could be short of goals for the game, given top scorer Wilfreid Bony was recently sold to Manchester City.
But Monk has no doubt his side will react in the right fashion.
He said: “(The season) won't fizzle out, I'll make sure of that. It's my job. Anyone who knows me, the players that know me, will know I won't accept that and the players won't accept that.
“We're in a difficult moment, the last two games have been very difficult for us. We wanted to put it right.
“I said to the players afterwards that it's important we stick together. All teams have had difficult moments this season and this could be ours but we'll come through it no problem.”
