Belgian winger Steve De Ridder, who played for Saints from 2011 until 2013, is 28 today.
Bought from De Graafschap to replace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, De Ridder’s flying pace made him popular with the fans, but his lack of end product drew disappointment from boss Nigel Adkins
Most often utilised as an impact sub – 32 of his 44 appearances for the club came off the bench – he played his part as Saints won promotion from the Championship, not least when he snatched a late equaliser against Reading, one of four goals he scored for Saints.
Promotion to the Premier League made it even harder for him to get a start in the team, and in the summer of July 2013 he was released.
Dutch side Utrecht instantly snapped him up, and he moved onto FC Copenhagen last year.

Swaythling-born Saint Nicky Banger celebrates his 44th birthday today.
Despite scoring a hat-trick on his full debut – against Rochdale in the League Cup in 1990 –he had to wait almost two years to make his first  league appearance.
Over the next two seasons, the striker mostly featured as a sub, making 41 of his 62 club appearances from the bench, and scoring 11 goals in total.
Then in 1994 he went to Oldham, initially on loan, where he was hampered by niggling injuries.
After leaving Torquay in 2002, he dropped into non-league football, including a spell at Eastleigh and a player-coach role at Brockenhurst.
After spells behind the scenes at Romsey Town and Havant & Waterlooville, he joined Aldershot as commercial manager in 2008.
