HAMILTON ACCIES today swept the board in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League monthly awards for January.

Billy Reid has been named Manager of the Month, Tomas Cerny is Player of the Month, and James McCarthy is Young Player of the Month.

All three were presented with their awards today at New Douglas Park after a sensational month for the Lanarkshire side.

Reid guided his charges to four SPL wins on the bounce against Aberdeen, Inverness Caley, Kilmarnock and Hearts to move them up to eighth in the SPL, some 11 points clear of basement boys Caley.

Cerny has been outstanding in goal, while McCarthy has been a driving force from midfield.

A delighted Reid said: "This is a real boost for the club as we prepare to face Motherwell in Saturday's Lanarkshire derby at Fir Park." As Guus Hiddink prepares to take over as stand-in boss at Chelsea, Carlo Ancelotti today told the Blues he will not leave AC Milan to coach the club next season.

The Italian is said to be owner Roman Abramovich's main candidate to replace Luiz Felipe Scolari.

However, Ancelotti, who is under contract until June, 2010, said: "The only club that has made a move to sign me has been Chelsea. In the summer I met Abramovich but I didn't want to leave AC Milan. It is the same now, I am not thinking about leaving." Ryan Giggs today agreed a new one-year contract extension which will keep him at Man U until summer 2010.
