ALAN HUTTON will find out today whether or not he faces another lengthy injury lay-off.
The Scotland and Spurs full-back will undergo a scan after complaining about stiffness in the foot he fractured earlier this year, keeping him out of action for almost three months.
National coach George Burley played the £9million defender last midweek in the glamour friendly against Argentina, but it is understood Hutton has never felt right since making his return to the Spurs starting line-up a few weeks ago.
His club are confident Hutton won't suffer a setback and that scans are a precaution, but any problems could see him ruled out for the rest of the year.
Meanwhile, another former Rangers star, Craig Moore, returned to action for Queensland Roar less than two weeks after surgery for testicular cancer.
The 32-year-old stopper had an operation on November 11, but vowed to return to the team as soon as possible, disregarding medical advice to take a lengthy break.
Despite only returning to training late last week and being restricted to light duties, Moore played the entire game as his team beat Perth Glory 4-1, with ex-Ibrox midfielder Charlie Miller among the goals.
Moore will have further tests in six weeks, but team officials said his prognosis is good.
